I am a communication specialist and I assist vulnerable adults and young people with communication difficulties within the criminal and family justice systems.
I have worked with over 500 vulnerable adults with needs including severe to enduring mental health problems, learning difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Autism and dementia.
From initial investigation to trial and beyond I find that each vulnerable person is unique, and each case is different, but in essence I make sure that every vulnerable person fully understands the process and is actively involved in any decision making and is able to accurately respond to questions when giving evidence.
